Just finished games 6-10. This is super fun. Im definitely going to play madvent every year from now on because this is just straight up fun lol. Here is my gameplay of games 6-10 if anyone is interested:
I've been playing through this year's Madvent after loving last years. I started late because I had covid along with my family this year but everyone is better! I admit, some games have me stumped or are difficult for me but I tried to give each one a fair share. I made a playlist of the games with 10 more to be added up until Christmas day. I'll add extra videos to it on 2nd playthroughs or finds. This year I didn't do any commentary since my voice wasn't the greatest from being sick. Check it some vids out if you want, and thanks to all that contributed to this! Look forward to next years!!!
omg the first five games were super fun. I'm going to play all of them but I have to do 5 games at a time so that I get the to all of them before Christmas. Here is my gameplay of the first five games if you are interested:
Day 20 Finished. I don't know if it's feature of the game or it's not finished yet, but the game apparently ends up in playtime while we kill monsters. Anyway, the story is interesting. Congratulations on your game.
Day 20 was cool. Liked the Dread Templar-ish aesthetic. Wasn't patient enough to read through the pages that tell the story of the game, so can't say anything for the story. The description in the launcher is all I know. Whatever, it's a cool game.
I tried my best and then got out the cheat engine for more Ego, but even after opening the door all it tells me is that "the map is not in the area", so whatever that was about left me stumped.
Day 18 finished. The game is very interesting, the problem, in my opinion, is that it takes a lot of work to unlock the other terminals, since after the 30 minute time is up, everything you unlocked goes back to square one. But the idea proposed in the game is experimental and very unusual, which is very interesting. Congratulations to the guy who produced this game here.
On the second week of Weirdsmas, the collab gave to me...a bunch of weird stuff to enjoy. Familiar grannies, rabid elves, brown stars, confusion, and a possum with a sick mommy.
Hey everyone! The Dev of this skiing game has just let me know that I ended up missing about half of the game unfortunately... So I'd definitely ask that you give it a go yourself, get further than I did and report back!!!
Hi everyone! Thanks for this wonderful collection! We're recording everyday to show every single game! Here's our playlist, We would be very glad if you could watch and subscribe if You like the content! Thanks to the devs! Happy Holidays everyone!
Hey everyone! First of all thanks to all the devs who created each of these incredible games. I've had a blast recording all of them!
So I've uploaded each day and have them all in a playlist here. I would love it if you could check it out each day and subscribe to my channel! Happy Holidays!
Day 17 seems to have a problem for me. The ornaments in the Christmas tree are not loading. Also I can't put any ornaments in there. I am connected to the internet. I wonder if the server is offline.
Hello. I tried to download using my browser (instead of the Itch launcher as I was doing) but I'm getting the same result, not working.
I just found out there's a console inside the 17 game (pressing the ' key). When I open there's the following error message: "didn't find id | ArgumentException: JSON parse error..." with a lot more technical stuff.
If you are running the desktop build, the only fix I could spitball is browsing to the streaming assets folder in the game's data folder and deleting the local backup json files in case they came in funny. Otherwise, I couldn't guess why the json won't parse in your app. The web version I linked above should run 100% in the browser. It'd be good for testing if this is a network issue.
Day 11 Finished. From what I understand about the game's synopsis, this takes place in a period of time where humanity apparently no longer exists, and now the world is taken over by these little animals. It may sound kind of theoretical, but that's what I understood about the game. I liked the look and the really weird soundtrack. They were very good. Congratulations on your work here.
Well, jingle my bells. It's time for the Madvent Calendar again! I'd hoped for another of these collabs since the last one, so I was eager to unwrap the games. Covered about a week's worth and was surprised to see some sequels come back.
Good job, devs and organizers alike! I look forward to the coming days.
Day 10 finished. Although it's just a simple demo, I really liked what I saw here. The game gave me that very "Perfect Dark" vibe, which made a very positive impression. Can't wait to see the next updates.
This is a game that made me want to see a "Haunted PS1" but only with games using the N64 aesthetic. Too bad I only know a few of this aesthetic made by the community and Legend 64, which is being produced by a guy on the internet. We could have more of that in the indie medium. Anyway, congratulations on the game.
Without a doubt one of the weirdest games in the anthology. Until now I didn't understand how it works. Things happen every day, like in "The People's Tree"?
Hello! Developer (devolver?) here: Thank you for playing my entry, and sorry to disappoint you -- but this entry is suppossed to be a tiny (interactive?) diorama. I forgot to mention this in the game's description or in-game so.. yeah :'>
By the way -- I'm also working on adding some bonus contents for this one, so stay tuned(?)
Ah ok, I though that I had missing something so I couldn't progress but if its considered as is then its fine, I like the style of the game especially the running and its animation. Oh btw I notice that when you press F1 you kinda "enable" object mode or something.
What's up with day 16 "I love toys"? first it didnt exist now it launches a game called a dream within a dream where you walk around the mountain and a message that says "get out" lol
Our apologies, in the middle of updating it. Updating the info in the launcher requires more time than the EXEs. The game itself was also glitched, the get out text shouldn't be up at spawn.
Day 6 Finished. For a brief moment, I thought that some giants would appear out of nowhere... it's a shame it didn't happen, it would be very interesting to see, as well as adding to the story.

Day 21 Finished. Very interesting...

PLayed night one, was too intense for me
Day 20 Finished. I don't know if it's feature of the game or it's not finished yet, but the game apparently ends up in playtime while we kill monsters. Anyway, the story is interesting. Congratulations on your game.
Thanks! It is a feature, sort of, and it's also not finished. We had time to create this demo which completes after 100 kills.
Day 20 was cool. Liked the Dread Templar-ish aesthetic. Wasn't patient enough to read through the pages that tell the story of the game, so can't say anything for the story. The description in the launcher is all I know. Whatever, it's a cool game.
Day 19 Finished. Good inspirations from Space Harrier and, what a surprise, it's a sequel of the "Down in the Dungeon" game. Cool!
DAY#19 game - unfinished but I enjoyed it nonetheless ->
The social tree thing is cool :) -
I tried my best and then got out the cheat engine for more Ego, but even after opening the door all it tells me is that "the map is not in the area", so whatever that was about left me stumped.

Fine work, all involved.Day 16 doesn't seem to work
Make sure you have the most up to date version.
gotcha thanks, but why was the previous game not working?
I Love Toys by MapleSerum
Unfortunately the original Dev had a severe mental health dip which was made worse by missing the launch deadline.
It was agreed it would be better for them to take care of themselves then push to possibly complete their game before their day.
And in turn, I whipped up what's currently day 16 in a couple days as a replacement.
oh god, well I hope they get better. It sucks to have such problems, especially close to Christmas.
I appreciate all the work you and the others devs have put into these PS1 Collections.
Day 15 and 16 finished.
Decided to revisit Day 5 because something bothered me AND I was right, this game is HUUUGGGE. Not sure if I met all the characters.
Btw. I met her, smart...
Day 14 finished. And I thought the Baabosangjaar game was weird...
How's it going everyone 👀 Ever wondered what it would be like to go downhill skiing, except you could be murdered at a moment's notice?
Also subscribe! It'll make you feel cool.
Hey everyone! The Dev of this skiing game has just let me know that I ended up missing about half of the game unfortunately... So I'd definitely ask that you give it a go yourself, get further than I did and report back!!!
Day 13 finished. Very Nice game.

that would be because it is day 13
I saw day 17 working properly for other youtubers, but it's not working for me.

Try the web build and lmk if it doesn't load. Server could have been down or there could have been a connection problem.

Day 12 Finished. The games are becoming more and more interesting...
Day 16 isn't loading
Do you have the most current version?

Your understanding is 100% correct!

Very nice N64 style in this one, also the gameplay was very enjoyable -

Here's Day 9 Madame Claudine's Curious Curiosities. I love when iwilliams and Warkus team up! The "haunted N64" graphics really take me back.
Without a doubt one of the weirdest games in the anthology. Until now I didn't understand how it works. Things happen every day, like in "The People's Tree"?
I don't get this game. I think the creator forgot to add ending to it.

Day 7 Finished.

The game itself was also glitched, the get out text shouldn't be up at spawn.
It should be fixed in the next 12 hours.
no worries, was just curious. great games here :D
Oh, also the reason for the update at all is because the dev who originally had the day was unfortunately no longer able to complete their entry.
ahh I see, that’s unfortunate but thank you for the info.
Very solid stuff.
I'm a few days late, new job and stuff lol but I am going to be adding to this playlist everyday on my channel as well, I'll get caught up :)
So happy you all did this again. I love what you do as a community, happy holidays everyone
